David Mayes Middleton II is a Republican Texas state senator representing Senate District 11, first taking office in January 2023 after serving two terms in the Texas House (2019–2023). He is an oil and gas businessman, attorney, and president of Middleton Oil Company, and he has also run ranching, cattle, and farming operations.
