Veronica Escobar

Veronica Escobar is a Democratic U.S. Representative for Texas's 16th Congressional District (El Paso), serving in Congress since January 3, 2019. She previously served on the El Paso County governing body as a county commissioner and later as county judge. Before elected office, she worked as a communications director, nonprofit executive, and taught at the University of Texas at El Paso and El Paso Community College. She earned a B.A. from the University of Texas at El Paso and an M.A. from New York University.
