Dione Sims

Dione Michelle Sims is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House in Texas’ 25th Congressional District in the 2026 cycle. She is the founder and president/CEO of the Fort Worth-based nonprofit Unity Unlimited, established in 2000. Sims has worked alongside her grandmother, Juneteenth activist Dr. Opal Lee, including producing Juneteenth Fort Worth celebrations and leading efforts connected to Opal’s Walk for Freedom.
